About the Role
Provide Construction Quality Assurance Services for the I-81 Viaduct project’s Design Build contracts, Phase I, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Inspect all construction materials to ensure compliance with Plans and Specifications.
- Inspect all construction activities to ensure quality of workmanship.
- Maintain daily records of worker numbers and classifications.
- Prepare daily reports of construction and engineering field work.
- Prepare and forward weekly quantity summaries for contract items.
- Maintain records of running totals for quantities and costs.
- Maintain daily records of equipment type and size used.
- Review traffic protection procedures.
- Review and coordinate submittals as required.
- Attend meetings or conferences as directed.
- Perform tests to ensure material compliance with Plans and Specifications.
Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid NICET Level III certification in Transportation/Highway Construction, or equivalent degree.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Inspector role with agency experience such as NJTA, NJDOT, NJ Transit, NYSDOT, MTA.
- ACI Grade I Certification.
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn project specific software as needed.
