About the Role
The Hotel Engineering Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operation of assigned vessels, implementing changes, and overseeing budgeting and planned maintenance. This role involves dealing with Classification Societies for inspections and acceptance of results, conducting onboard visits for inspections and audits, and overseeing projects, renovations, or refurbishments in guest, public, and crew areas. The supervisor will prepare reports and make written recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that maintenance is performed according to Company standards as well as environmental, and health standards
- Leads and manages maintenance teams establishing guidelines
- Oversees the planning of all dry-dock works
- Manages ships requests and ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Advises company on Energy Saving efficiencies and cost-effectiveness
- Maintains daily contacts with Engine Officers on board
- Assists vessels in solving technical issues in the Hotel areas
- Works collaboratively with the Engine Superintendents
- Manages all the planned and unplanned jobs in the Hotel areas.
Requirements
- Experience on board Cruise Vessels, with experience as a Hotel Engineer
- Good knowledge of Fidelio, MMS system
- Amos knowledge is a plus
- Fluent English, oral and written
- MS Office tools knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team
- Strong ability to prioritise and work effectively under tight deadlines
- The existing right to live and work in the UK is preferred.
