About the Role
LinkedIn is seeking a Lead Account Executive for the Marketing Solutions team to expand its reputation as a top media channel for technology and financial services. This role involves developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, focusing on growing business from new client segments. The goal is to exceed growth targets through strong relationships with senior marketing professionals and by delivering customer value.
Responsibilities
- Engage and strategize with senior-level executives at client companies and agencies to demonstrate how LinkedIn can drive revenue.
- Develop and cultivate deep relationships with senior executive clients at SVP, VP, and CMO levels.
- Identify net new buying groups to grow client investment through a consultative approach.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Insights, Marketing, Measurement, Content/Video Solutions, Sponsorships, Agency, Product) on campaign strategy, activation, and client objectives.
- Investigate industry-specific information and trends, providing research and narratives to align with customer needs.
- Act as the voice of the customer for product/solution feedback.
- Conceive and pitch creative marketing solutions to key accounts.
- Update and create sales proposals, managing expectations and ensuring speed and adaptability.
- Command, report, and forecast sales activity, including prospecting, pipeline management, closing deals, and renewals.
- Generate revenue and achieve target quota, with accountability for forecasting and gap planning.
- Embrace and foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Act as a mentor and coach to junior teammates/sellers.
- Interact and collaborate across the NAMER footprint of offices, especially within similar vertical teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or media.
- 3+ years of direct experience in a quota-carrying sales role.
- Experience in building business cases and preparing media ads sales proposals.
- Proven experience across Financial Services and Technology sectors, with deep subject matter expertise in both B2C and B2B advertising sales.
- Experience working with senior marketing leaders (VP+) and a history of developing authentic executive-level relationships.
- Previous management of large customer/enterprise selling – managing 8-10 customers, each with multiple buying groups, and the ability to prospect and develop net-new buyers within.
- Ability to achieve results by understanding customer needs and connecting customer pressures with business and product solutions.
- Proven track record of organization strengths, robust proactive action planning, sales operational excellence, and leadership behaviors.
- Deep understanding of internet advertising technology, marketing automation, and B2B/B2C media measurement.
- Sharp pipeline management, with accuracy of leveraging forecasting and account plans to develop GTM strategies that grow your book of business.
- Storytelling with insights and data, applying key learnings to strategic recommendations that address the 'so what,' leading to next steps and new relationships.

Salary/Compensations
- $220,000-$270,000 CAD (On Target Earnings)
- Total compensation package may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
