About the Role

The Principal Solutions Strategist serves as a strategic leader driving the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy for Finance operations, enabling advanced analytics and operational excellence. This high-impact role collaborates with business and technology leaders to architect, integrate, and optimize modern data platforms, ensuring solutions align with business priorities and regulatory standards within a Fortune 100 healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end functional solution strategy for Finance technology, ensuring business processes are supported across applications, data, interfaces, and reporting.
  • Ensure clear, end-to-end data and process flows across ERP, HCM/payroll, insurance platforms, claims, pharmacy, clinical systems, and downstream analytics.
  • Define and enforce rules for systems of record and systems of truth for all major financial data domains.
  • Identify and eliminate redundant data flows, overlapping functionality, and unnecessary integrations.
  • Partner with Finance functional leaders and business analysts to understand end-to-end business intent.
  • Partner with technical architects and engineering teams to guide solution design.
  • Ensure integrations, reports, and data pipelines are designed holistically to reduce failure points, improve resiliency, and support auditability and compliance.
  • Lead solution decisions that prioritize simplification, standardization, and use of out-of-the-box platform capabilities.
  • Document and maintain current- and future-state end-to-end Finance solution views.
  • Continuously assess the health of Finance technology ecosystems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary integrator role across Finance, IT, Data, and Analytics organizations.
  • Influence enterprise technology and platform roadmaps by representing end-to-end Finance process and data needs.
  • Provide oversight to ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards for data governance, security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Evaluate new ERP, Finance, and data platform capabilities and guide adoption decisions.
  • Promote a mindset of enterprise thinking, focusing on long-term sustainability.
  • Mentor senior technologists on end-to-end, process-oriented solution thinking.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, solution strategy, architecture, or technology leadership roles.
  • Strong functional understanding of Finance processes combined with the ability to translate them into end-to-end system and data solutions.
  • Experience working across ERP platforms (Oracle Cloud Fusion or similar), HCM/payroll, and enterprise data and analytics ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and govern systems of record, data ownership, and integration patterns.
  • Ability to operate effectively between business and technical teams without duplicating the role of functional analysts or technical architects.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to guide decisions across senior Finance and IT leadership.
  • Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required.
