About the Role

The Retirement Plan Advisor assists individuals in achieving a successful retirement and planning their financial future through group and individual presentations to new and existing defined contribution Government 457 plan participants. This role uses data-driven, analytical thinking to lead impactful conversations with participants, meets client service level agreements, and achieves assigned annual targets. The Advisor will also assist the Relationship Management team in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the assigned territory, working with public employees in New England and western New York.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Retirement Readiness Reviews, individual meetings, and group presentations with targeted participants using consultative expertise to improve retirement outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders for each location within the assigned territory or for assigned employer-sponsored plans.
  • Conduct one-on-one virtual and on-site group meetings using various technologies professionally.
  • Manage meeting schedule, including travel booking.
  • Create and execute dynamic business plans and tactics to drive positive retirement income objectives for participants.
  • Document interactions in Salesforce and collect required information to adhere to guidelines for regulatory compliance.
  • Achieve plan level and individual goals to help achieve service level agreements and business results.
  • Participate in client meetings, sales finals, or other external meetings as needed.
  • Work collaboratively across internal service and management teams to improve effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 – 5 years relevant financial services experience.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams required.
  • Strategic thinker who can work independently required.
  • Strong relationship building and territory management skills required.
  • FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 registrations required within established timeline; current FINRA registrations strongly preferred.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required upon hire.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.
  • Must be based in the New England and western New York territory and available to travel as needed.
  • For remote and hybrid positions, reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a place in your home to work with limited disruption are required.
  • Reliable connectivity from an internet service provider that is fiber, cable, or DSL internet is required for remote/hybrid positions.
  • Other necessary computer equipment will be provided.
  • May be required to work in the office if an adequate home work environment and the required internet connection are not available.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Working knowledge of building blocks for successful retirement planning preferred.
  • Basic understanding of defined contribution plans preferred.
  • Practical experience providing high-level, consultative client interactions preferred.

  • $79,400.00 - $112,175.00
