About the Role
TruBlue Westlake is launching in Austin and seeking a Lead Handyman to be a foundational hire, working alongside the franchise owner to build a growing home services business. This role is for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with customers, leads by example, and is eager to grow with a new business.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality home repair projects as the most experienced craftsman on every job.
- Represent TruBlue in customers' homes, ensuring clear communication, respectful conduct, and clean work.
- Provide on-site estimates for additional work when appropriate.
- Support day-to-day operations, including scheduling input, materials management, and quality control.
- Document work with photos and complete job paperwork.
- Lead and mentor new Tru-Pro® technicians as the team grows.
- Uphold TruBlue's high standard of professionalism and customer care.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on residential home repair or remodeling experience.
- Broad multi-trade skill set with a strong carpentry foundation.
- Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring other technicians is preferred.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for photos and scheduling apps.
- Valid Texas driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and full toolset.
- Fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing to complete background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
