About the Role
ASCEND is seeking a Restorative Residential Program Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of their Community Living Apartments and Satellite Apartments, supporting individuals in their journey towards optimal mental health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning and operation of the residence(s), including staff meetings, finances, activity supervision, and service provision.
- Evaluate client referrals, conduct admission meetings, and assist in developing service plans and discharges.
- Advocate for residents to receive appropriate services within the program and facilitate referrals to external community providers.
- Implement and participate in selected program activities, remaining available to residents.
- Contribute to the development of program policies and procedures.
- Manage required statistical and reporting documentation, including service plans, yearly reports, fire drills, and program fees.
- Encourage and facilitate resident input in program development and maintenance.
- Provide orientation for new staff and ensure timely compliance with all required trainings.
- Supervise and evaluate Assistant Coordinators, Care Plan Specialists, Benefits Specialists, Residential Specialists, and Relief Residential Specialists.
- Oversee the physical condition of the residence(s), approving minor repairs and reporting larger maintenance issues.
- Be on-call as assigned.
- Assist with OMH certification/re-certification processes.
Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's degree in a human services related field; or an associate's degree in a human services related field and three years of experience in human services; or a high school degree and five years of experience in human services.
- Valid NYS Driver's License.
- Well-motivated and committed to making a difference in people's lives.
- Good listening, writing, and verbal skills.
