About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float/Flex Team, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. You will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts care assessments and interprets assessment data to determine care needs and constraints in meeting these needs.
  • Successfully completes system-based and hospital specific competencies.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of observations, treatments, teaching, medications, care given, patient response, and integrates into plan of care.
  • In collaboration with patients and families, the Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering care to the patient.
  • Implements plan of care based upon established standards of care/practice, policies, and procedures, incorporating cultural, religious, psychosocial, physical, and age-related issues.
  • Possesses knowledge of medications, and administers safely and accurately.
  • Appropriately delegates and supervises routine technical functions to non-licensed and licensed personnel.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing
  • Minimum two years of experience as an RN in an acute care facility, upon hire
  • For Critical Care areas, two years of Critical Care experience, upon hire
  • For Telemetry areas, one year of Telemetry, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months
  • Effective 04/01/2026, all ADN prepared RN hires are required to obtain their BSN degree within five (5) years of their start date.
  • Individuals must enroll in and begin participating in a BSN program within two (2) years of their start date.
