About the Role
Antech is a leader in veterinary diagnostics, driven by a passion for innovation that delivers better animal health outcomes. We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our team in Berlin and shape the future with us.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, registering, and preparing samples (e.g., tissue samples, blood, serum, feces, urine)
- Performing diagnostic analyses in various disciplines, e.g., Histopathology: preparing and cutting histological tissue samples, staining and scanning histopathological and cytological preparations
- Clinical Chemistry/Hematology: working with automated analyzers and performing manual laboratory procedures
- Validating and plausibility checking of examination results
- Documenting results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Close collaboration with other laboratory areas and medical professionals
- Coordination in clarification cases (e.g., incomplete sample information, technical problems)
- Maintenance, care, and calibration of the analysis equipment used
- Performing quality controls according to internal and external standards
Requirements
- Successfully completed training as a Biology Lab Assistant, Medical-Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA / MTA), Veterinary Assistant (with lab experience), Chemical Lab Assistant, or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or similar
- Basic knowledge of veterinary diagnostics, especially in handling animal samples (blood, feces, tissue, etc.)
- Experience with laboratory procedures, especially in histopathology
- Confident use of laboratory software, IT, and documentation
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations in the laboratory
- Willingness to participate in shift and weekend work
