About the Role

Flagship Lab Services is seeking a Life Science Technician II with Lab experience to join our dynamic and growing division. This intermediate level position performs routine maintenance and assists with various lab duties under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, clean, and maintain hood traps and incubators.
• Assist team with content transfers during cold storage unit failures.
• Monitor and dump waste containers.
• Prepare buffers.
• Maintain LN2 Freezer Pro and Cold Storage contact records.
• Perform glass washing and autoclaving.
• Stock and replenish clean/sterilized materials.
• Work with team to close out workspaces of former employees and prepare for new hires.
• Maintain service tickets in the lab equipment service system.
• Interface with groups and scientists to ensure service completion and documentation.
• Submit and follow through on tickets for printer issues.
• Perform general lab housekeeping, including lab clean outs and cardboard removal.
• Process all pipettes for annual calibration.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
• Six months prior work experience in a related work environment, illustrating good attendance, professional behavior, and reliability.
• Ability to follow orders given orally and in writing.
• Ability to complete tasks and paperwork with basic supervision.
• May require an ACTIVE driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint.
• Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use a ladder, and perform various types of manual labor.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Vision (with correction) sufficient for reading, performing repairs and painting.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Cleaning and maintaining Decon equipment
• Basic knowledge of building & lab management systems
