About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to help shape the future of Trusted Content within the Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy function. In this role, you will work with software developers, product management, operating segment stakeholders, customer co-innovation teams, and the AI Center of Excellence to define, develop, and scale Trusted Content capabilities that improve customer outcomes across design, operations, and maintenance workflows. You combine strong systems and automation engineering experience with curiosity, collaboration, and execution discipline. You are an expert in Rockwell Automation technologies and applying Rockwell Automation products. You are comfortable working across ambiguity, contributing to Trusted Content methods and standards, and turning emerging ideas into repeatable solutions, proofs of concept, and scalable practices that support both internal teams and customer-facing innovation efforts. You will report to the Engineering Manager, Trusted Content Innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate the future of how customers leverage Trusted Content across design, operations, and maintenance use cases and workflows
  • Design integrated and complex automation systems using Trusted Content through modern methodologies
  • Research and develop methodologies using artificial intelligence to harvest, develop, and validate Trusted Content
  • Work closely with Innovation Software Developers to develop requirements and review output
  • Work closely with the AI center of excellence, and customer co-innovation teams
  • Collaborate with operating segment product management and development teams to influence and support product portfolio integration of Trusted Content needs
  • Collaborate with T&I Customer Co-Innovation teams on engagements related to Trusted Content
  • Contribute to Trusted Content standards, policies and procedures
  • Support global events such as Automation Fair, TechEd, or others as needed
  • Support customer or operating segment projects on site as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 25% of time
  • Typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience in systems or applications engineering within industrial automation
  • Strong understanding of Rockwell Automation products like Logix, Optix, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI, such as Python, C++, C#, or Java
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Design, train, and evaluate AI models and algorithms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting complex data sets
  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying AI solutions
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Present concepts and strategies to fellow developers and management
  • Understanding of ethics and best practices in AI development
