About the Role

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking a Service Tech Trainee for an entry-level position offering comprehensive training to advance your career. As a technician, you will be trained and certified to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment. This role requires attending training sessions, with all expenses covered by the company. The position involves completing petroleum service calls, paperwork, and communicating with dispatch and management, while explaining technical issues to customers.

Responsibilities

Complete petroleum service calls for customers at various locations.
Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
Communicate with service dispatcher and manager.
Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer.
Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units and POS systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid State Issued Driver’s License and good driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Must pass a drug screen & background check.
Daily local travel required.
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

Skills

Troubleshooting gasoline dispensing units (Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, Bennett).
Troubleshooting POS Systems (VeriFone, Gilbarco, NCR).
Installation, programming, and testing of new petroleum equipment.
Preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Analyzing electrical and mechanical problems.
