About the Role
SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking a Tank Cleaning/Fuel Polishing Operator to join their environmental team. This role involves cleaning storage tanks in various industries and retail fuel settings, requiring attention to detail and safety awareness. Up to 90% travel is expected.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tank cleaning/polishing as directed.
- Monitor and control equipment and instruments, verifying proper function during and after cleaning.
- Record data, gauge levels, record test results, and obtain instrument readings.
- Resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Diagnose and perform minor repairs on fuel systems.
- Draw samples of products to monitor processes and ensure standards are met.
Requirements
- Must be familiar with and willing to handle petroleum substances.
- Possess mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at medium heights.
- Ability to crouch, bend, and kneel.
- Good driving record.
- Willingness to travel and potentially be away from home for multiple nights.
- Ability to work in all types of weather.
- Adherence to safety policies and practices, including personal protective gear.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Ability to work well with others.
