About the Role
Mercury is seeking founders or small technical teams (Eng+) to build the AI products of the future. We believe small, autonomous teams paired with AI product surfaces can create 10x outcomes. This is an open application for those who want to work together on innovative AI products.
Responsibilities
- Find and define problems worth solving by working closely with customers.
- Build and automate end-to-end workflows using our AI stack (Command, CLI, MCP).
- Ship products to customers rapidly through quick understanding, tight iteration, and deployment.
- Measure product impact honestly, iterating on successes and discontinuing failures.
- Operate as an autonomous team, owning the entire process from target selection to outcome.
Requirements
- Proven track record of shipping real products, tools, companies, or open-source projects.
- Proficiency across the full stack, with PMs capable of prototyping and engineers possessing product taste.
- Strong opinions and sound judgment regarding AI products.
- Hands-on experience building AI products, with knowledge of RAG, evals, and agent harnesses being a plus.
- Ability to move fast, measure results, and learn from failures.
- Focus on impactful craft and avoiding unnecessary polishing.
- Clear communication skills and ownership of outcomes, driving business impact and customer value.
