About the Role
As a Data Product Manager at Fundbox, you will own the data integrity and reporting infrastructure for our embedded capital operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to lending partners and investors. This is a hands-on role requiring both product management thinking and data engineering execution.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data reporting for capital markets facilities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for lender and investor reporting.
- Write and maintain SQL and Python pipelines to extract, validate, and transform loan portfolio data from multiple internal sources.
- Identify and address gaps in existing reporting processes, proactively building solutions and flagging data misalignment.
- Translate business and compliance requirements into clear data specifications for BI and engineering teams.
- Manage reporting as a product, owning requirements, documentation, and quality standards for all capital markets data outputs.
- Oversee and review the work of other data analysts supporting capital markets reporting.
- Partner with capital markets, credit, and finance teams to understand evolving reporting requirements.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in a data, analytics, or reporting role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for independent data extraction and transformation.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to write clear requirements, consider edge cases, and communicate data logic precisely.
- Experience managing or overseeing analytical work across teams or geographies.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple workstreams without close supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior leadership.
- BS/MS in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering) preferred.
- Capital markets or structured finance experience is a plus.
