About the Role

Support Branch Operations Manager in daily operations, including diverse tasks such as batch generation, spreadsheet creation, inventory management, production prioritization, and customer communication. Create and receive orders, verify product and freight costs, and coordinate with other departments to ensure necessary information is updated and accessible. Dispatch drivers and carriers for pickups and deliveries, assign trailers, and optimize transportation methods for cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Support Branch Operations Manager as necessary to keep the department running smoothly.
  • Perform diverse tasks such as batch generation, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, inventory management, production prioritization and communication with customers.
  • Create and receive orders in the BUS for designated raw materials.
  • Verify product, freight costs and delivery date.
  • Work with Purchasing and Key Account Coordinator to ensure Product codes, Batches, SDS and COA information is updated and ready to use when necessary.
  • Dispatch Brenntag drivers and preferred carriers to arrange for pick-ups and deliveries when necessary.
  • Assign trailers for loading and deliveries with correct products and quantities as specified by customers.
  • Ensure the use of most cost-effective methods of transportation when timing permits.
  • Operate a forklift & spotter truck.
  • Perform loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Work in high/elevated areas.
  • Offload rail cars & connect/disconnect rail cars.
  • Elevate supply and demand issues when appropriate to the Branch Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor to assist in the resolution of issues.
  • Represent Brenntag Pacific in a professional manner.
  • Observe, follow, and enforce all Brenntag Pacific Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.
  • Perform any other production & warehouse duties required.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Two years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the BUS computer system.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Possess excellent written/oral communication skills.
