About the Role

The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and packaging sold to consumers. This role focuses on the production process, preventing contamination, testing product attributes and packaging, regulatory compliance, and facility sanitation. The technician will also provide direction to lab technicians and sanitation workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in food safety and quality systems.
• Provide leadership on all product safety programs and issues.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure product quality and educate production personnel on quality standards.
• Verify that ingredients and packaging meet specifications before use.
• Maintain food safety within the facility.
• Adhere to Give and Go's quality and food safety standards.
• Analyze and maintain product quality according to established procedures.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with GMP and company standards.
• Ensure the highest level of product and package quality within usage and budgetary guidelines.
• Act as a role model for workplace safety.
• Recommend changes in manufacturing practices or production flow to ensure product safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing is required.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, and follow-up.
• Demonstrated ability to identify potential issues and resolve complex problems.
• High personal energy level and resilience.
• High degree of emotional maturity and integrity.
• Superior leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel within Give & Go plant locations.
