About the Role
Nordran is accelerating AI infrastructure by making liquid cooling chemistry measurable and controllable. We are hiring a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to own the mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering required to productize and harden our sensing platform.
Responsibilities
- Own hardware productization from MVP to field-ready system across mechanics, electronics, firmware, fluidics, enclosures, connectors, and interfaces.
- Build, test, debug, and iterate hands-on to improve robustness, reliability, manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost.
- Translate R&D learnings, customer requirements, and field failures into concrete design changes.
- Define and execute validation tests for leakage, lifetime, temperature, vibration, chemical compatibility, sensor stability, and deployment conditions.
- Set up and continuously improve in-house production processes, including assembly workflows, test procedures, quality checks, and manufacturing documentation.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on track record building and productizing physical hardware systems.
- Comfortable debugging across mechanical design, electronics, embedded firmware, and system integration.
- Experience with sensors, fluidics, pumps, valves, enclosures, or chemically exposed hardware is a strong plus.
- High ownership, fast iteration speed, clear communication, and strong thinking in failure modes, tolerances, and real-world operating conditions.
Location
- Berlin
Work Type
- Full-time
Experience Level
- Senior
Education Level
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation with meaningful stock options
- High ownership role in a fast-moving deep-tech startup.
- Work directly on hardware deployed with leading AI infrastructure customers.
- Modern lab and office in Berlin with the tools, budget, and autonomy to build fast.
- Compassionate, low-politics culture with high ambition and high ownership.
About the Company
