About the Role
Brex is seeking a Product Manager to own the Brex Assistant, an AI agent designed to act as an executive assistant for employees, handling expense, spend, and travel tasks conversationally. This role involves setting product direction, defining capabilities, and ensuring the agent's reliability and trustworthiness in a financial context.
Responsibilities
- Own product direction for the Brex Assistant, including strategy, roadmap, and shipping decisions.
- Define agent capabilities that perform real actions for users.
- Translate complex expense and spend workflows into reliable agent behaviors.
- Design evaluation methods, prompting strategies, and feedback loops for agent dependability.
- Prototype, measure, analyze transcripts, and iterate rapidly on product features.
- Engage with users consistently to inform product iterations.
- Establish and maintain a high quality standard for a financial agent.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant product management experience.
- Proven track record of owning complex, user-facing products from conception to launch.
- Experience building AI products for users, including shipping LLM/agent features.
- Hands-on experience with prompting, eval design, and measurement-based iteration.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and define unclear paths.
- Experience owning early-stage products or problem areas with initiative.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering and design teams.
- Excellent product taste and judgment.
- Ability to move fast and delve into details.
- Experience building conversational, chat-native, or SMS-based products (nice to have).
- Familiarity with fintech, expense management, or spend workflows (nice to have).
