About the Role

Own the client content lifecycle, including what gets written, who writes it, and its quality before it reaches a Client Success Manager. This role requires real ownership, a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to continuous improvement, especially with AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own content calendars across all active accounts, ensuring deadlines are visible and realistic.
  • Assign and brief writers, matching tasks to their strengths.
  • Edit every piece of content before it reaches a Client Success Manager, returning it if not ready.
  • Translate client brand rules into style guides, briefs, and AI workflows.
  • Address recurring errors at their source, not on a per-draft basis.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify and articulate issues in drafts, including structure, voice, logic, and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in spotting AI-generated writing.
  • Daily use of Claude Code and knowledge of generating quality output.
  • Proactive and self-directed work ethic.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and ambiguity effectively.
  • Demonstrated AI power user capabilities.
  • Clear communication skills, especially in unclear situations.
  • Willingness to share opinions and contribute ideas.
  • Resilience to handle challenging weeks.
  • Strong editorial eye to distinguish AI writing from human writing.
  • AI-native working habits, including prompt writing, agent building, and system development.
  • Proactive ownership, flagging potential issues before they arise.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple pieces and clients.
  • 3+ years of editing or content management experience, preferably in an agency or SEO/content marketing setting.
