About the Role
Seeking an experienced founder and operator to join two technical founders as Co-founder & CEO. This role involves taking a built, already-used platform from spin-out through a competitive seed round, Series A and beyond. The company aims to build AI that performs the reasoning work in drug discovery, enabling a small team to achieve the output of a large one.
Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising efforts, including running a competitive seed round and planning for Series A.
- Build the commercial engine by establishing partnerships, pilots, and securing paying customers in the pharma and biotech sectors.
- Develop the company by managing hiring, shaping the company narrative, building the board, and forging grant and academic partnerships.
- Oversee day-to-day operations.
- Shape strategy and positioning in collaboration with the founding team.
Requirements
- Must have founded and/or led a company at the founder or C-suite level.
- Must have personally raised venture capital, ideally leading a priced round as a founder.
- Possess a strong, transferable investor network within deep-tech, AI, bio, or health sectors.
- Demonstrate a track record in commercial and business development, including securing partnerships, pilots, and paying customers.
- Exhibit credibility in technical and scientific discussions.
- Be UK-based and available to work full-time from the company's spin-out.
- Driven to build a category-defining company at the frontier of AI and drug discovery.
- Impact-driven with initiative and a first-principles approach.
- Possess a clear entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in ambiguous, unstructured, fast-paced, and demanding environments.
