About the Role

The Patient Accounts Associate manages patient billing, accounts receivable, and invoice processing to ensure accurate financial records while supporting clinicians and families.

Responsibilities

• Process payments in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Manage billing documentation including invoices, credit card authorizations, and consents
• Facilitate open balances, payment plans, and account follow-ups
• Provide high-quality customer service to patients and families
• Communicate mental health billing codes, rules, and regulations to stakeholders
• Review daily transactions and process corrections
• Liaise with insurance companies on behalf of patients
• Resolve sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality and protecting personal health information

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Submit a cover letter as part of the application process
