About the Role
Oversee works and ensure personnel safely undertake required tasks, creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, motivating the workforce, and ensuring efficiency and productivity to achieve project targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage Gangers and Lead Miners
- Ensure day-to-day lifting operations are controlled as defined by the Appointed Person (lifting)
- Be responsible for the control of workplace transport in their areas of work
- Ensure personal protective equipment is provided and used as required by site rules and procedures
- Maintain written records and site diaries
- Organize and manage the timely supply of materials
- Provide expert advice, support, and guidance relating to all works during day-to-day activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisor role managing Health and Safety on site
- CSCS Site Supervisors Qualification
- SMSTS or SSSTS Qualification
- Tunnelling experience
