About the Role
This position serves as the on-site supervisor for Office Specialists, Office Coordinators, and MSA Authorization team members. Responsibilities include overseeing training for front desk and office workflows, acting as a liaison between the MSA client business office and ATI, and managing clinical administrative functions for accurate client billing and claims. The role also involves conducting audits to ensure adherence to MSA client processes and keeping staff updated on policy changes.
Responsibilities
- Assists with hiring and is responsible for training of all MSA Office Specialists, Office Coordinators, and Authorization Specialists.
- Communicates new policies, procedures, workflows, and expectations to direct reports.
- Provides ongoing monitoring of quality/productivity through audits of work queues, client EHR systems, and reviews of MSA authorization and front office workflow documentation.
- Continuously analyzes clinic needs and suggests improvements for productivity, accuracy, and quality within front desk workflows.
- Manages the day-to-day MSA front office and MSA authorization specialist teams, including performance management, timesheet and payroll approval, and scheduling.
- Serves as the main point of contact between the MSA client business office and ATI, responding to requests related to patient billing, denials, medical records, and appointments.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in an administrative position.
- Minimum 5 years of office experience, preferably in a health-related field.
- Minimum 1 year of lead/supervisory experience.
- Previous health care business office experience including insurance verification, authorization, revenue cycle support, or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems such as EPIC, NextGen, etc. is preferred.
- Experience with ATI’s IT product suite is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
