About the Role
Uscreen is seeking a Product Engineer who prioritizes the creator's experience, working backward from user needs to deliver effective technology. This role involves owning the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept and design to coding, handling edge cases, and measuring success through tangible outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Take ambiguous customer problems and transform them into shipped product solutions.
- Own the full lifecycle of a solution, including design decisions, coding, edge case management, and success metrics.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs.
- Work across a diverse technology stack including Ruby on Rails, React, Flutter, and native components.
- Measure success based on business outcomes rather than closed tickets.
- Iterate on solutions, prioritizing better approaches and code efficiency.
- Ensure solutions are not just functional but optimally resolved.
- Identify and prioritize the most impactful problems to solve for creators.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping real products, with examples.
- Preference for direct customer interaction over mediated communication.
- Focus on achieving outcomes rather than closing tickets.
- Willingness to discard outdated work for superior solutions.
- A tendency to delete more code than is added.
- A keen eye for detail and a drive to perfect solutions.
- Strong judgment in prioritizing problems and delivering impactful solutions.
