About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Design & Engineering Service Line at one of our 18 locations in Germany. This role is part of our global Mobility business area, focusing on developing thriving, connected cities and communities worldwide. We create sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies to optimize the mobility of people and the transport of goods.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure clients in nationwide projects for Deutsche Bahn and road construction.
Achieve commercial success in projects.
Manage complex international infrastructure projects through all phases of HOAI (1-7) with a professional, structured, and experienced approach.
Handle procurement, contract management, invoicing, and quality assurance.
Ensure adherence to costs and deadlines.
Perform proactive anti-claim management and contractual crisis management.
Develop and implement strategies for change orders.
Effectively utilize soft skills in client relations and hard skills with relevant software.
Facilitate and coordinate solution-oriented collaboration with users, planners, and executing companies.
Ensure the development, optimization, and implementation of organizational structures tailored to specific project requirements.

Requirements

A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable qualification.
Ideally 10 years of professional experience in project management and control, with substantial experience as a lead architect or civil engineer.
Proven experience with complex national and international large-scale projects, preferably in infrastructure related to Deutsche Bahn or road authorities.
Knowledge of the German construction industry and experience managing large infrastructure projects, particularly in road, bridge, or tunnel planning and construction.
Passionate entrepreneurial and contractual mindset and approach.
Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Proficient in AHO, HOAI, and VOB.
Good command of MS Project and other Office applications.
Diplomatic skills and professional demeanor.
Goal-oriented, independent, team-oriented, and possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to assess project timelines, quality, and costs in relation to project specifications.
Very good written and spoken German and English language skills.
Willingness to travel as required by the project or business needs.
