About the Role
As a Cook at Garrison, you will execute every dish with precision, consistency, and pride while contributing to a culture of craftsmanship, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Working alongside an accomplished culinary team, you will help to create memorable guest experiences through seasonal ingredients, refined technique, and genuine hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Execute every dish with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
- Taste and season food throughout production to ensure every place meets Garrison standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined workstation throughout each shift.
- Demonstrate proficiency in core culinary techniques while continuously developing new skills.
- Develop a thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, allergens, sourcing stories, and seasonal changes.
- Prepare all food according to Garrison recipes, plating standards, and quality expectations.
- Support teammates during service while communicating professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation, food safety, and temperature logging standards.
- Properly rotate, label, and store all products to minimize waste.
- Ensure all EHC and ServeSafe standards are followed supporting the direction of your Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties.
- Ensure all EHC standard temperature logs are completed accurately.
- Participate in daily lineups, tastings, menu education, and culinary development sessions.
- Take ownership of your station and contribute ideas that improve quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a fine dining, luxury hotel, or chef-driven restaurant preferred.
- Passion for seasonal ingredients and culinary excellence.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Team-first attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
