About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity to join STERIS Instrument Processing (IP) as a Team Leader, overseeing the productivity and welfare of the on-site staff. You will contribute to the mission of helping the national health service and ensuring patient safety through expert surgical instrument sterilization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, and sterilization of instruments, consumables, and equipment within predefined quality standards.
  • Provide direct and effective supervision to ensure timely delivery of clean and/or sterile instrumentation.
  • Ensure operational activities fully comply with all required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor, maintain, and record all department quality assurance records in accordance with the QMS.
  • Proactively monitor, evaluate, and ensure operational activities comply with Health and Safety procedures and guidelines, keeping staff informed and trained.
  • Participate as an integral member of the management team, contributing suggestions for innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices.
  • Actively assist and support the Production Manager in planning and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
  • Basic end-user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT systems.
