About the Role
STERIS Instrument Processing is seeking a Sterile Services Technician. This entry-level position offers world-class training and a defined career pathway in surgical instrument sterilization and infection prevention.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) through decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing within predefined quality standards.
- Rigorously check, wash, lay up, and pack theatre instrument sets to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
- Safely operate and monitor machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic, and sterilisers) effectively.
- Record and log repairs and missing instruments or equipment on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
- Ensure repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock, appropriate coded sets, or the Trust’s appointed person.
Requirements
- Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
- Basic end-user IT skills to operate the track and traceability IT system.

- £25,272 plus a 5% performance bonus
