About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organised Housekeeper to support a lovely family of three in a beautiful five-bedroom private residence in North London. This is a long-term, full-time, live-out position where you will be responsible for maintaining the home to an exceptionally high standard and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping of a five-bedroom, five-bathroom private residence to an exceptional standard
- Daily cleaning and upkeep of all living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms
- Caring for wood, polished concrete floors, and other specialist surfaces using appropriate methods and products
- Cleaning external floor-to-ceiling windows regularly
- Maintaining outdoor areas between gardener visits, including watering plants, collecting leaves, light weeding, and keeping outdoor spaces tidy
- Laundry management, including washing, ironing, hand washing delicate garments, and wardrobe organisation
- Organising wardrobes and ensuring clothing is maintained to a high standard
- Managing grocery shopping and household supplies using online ordering platforms and apps
- Arranging fresh flowers weekly
- Preparing fresh salads, side dishes, and daily meal preparation, including preparing meat and ingredients for cooking, together with occasional stews and simple Mediterranean and Slavic-style family meals
- Running occasional household errands, including dry cleaning, tailoring, and post office visits
- Liaising with contractors when required
- Maintaining the highest levels of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism always
Requirements
- Previous experience working within high-end private households is essential
- Exceptional housekeeping skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of caring for specialist surfaces, finishes, and luxury furnishings
- Strong laundry and wardrobe management skills
- Comfortable preparing simple, healthy family meals
- Confident using online shopping platforms and managing household stock
- Able to work independently and proactively
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and reliability
