About the Role
The Chop Shop Technician operates industrial saw equipment to precisely cut metal components according to work orders. This hands-on manufacturing role involves configuring machinery, inspecting output for quality, and maintaining accurate production records.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Configure machine stops and guides to specified lengths.
- Execute precise metal cuts to meet production specifications.
- Inspect output continuously to identify and flag defects.
- Read and interpret work orders to determine machine configurations.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Use tape measures and measurement tools to verify cut accuracy.
- Navigate job-related software to enter production data.
- Utilize NetSuite ERP to reference work orders and log activity.
Requirements
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and production documentation.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Ability to lift 50–70 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand for the duration of a full shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, and maneuver around equipment.
