About the Role
This important role is the public face of the Security Team, requiring a can-do and professional attitude to ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service for clients and visitors. The role demands full flexibility to cover shifts across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Readily interact with all visitors, delivering first-class customer-focused services.
- Carry out regular patrols of the site as detailed in the site assignment instructions, being always proactive.
- Continuously look for opportunities to assist visitors and clients proactively.
- Safeguard all sites, ensuring a safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors.
- Ensure all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures.
- Liaise with site control room, proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and supported.
- Ensure any unsecure areas of the site are reported to the Control Room immediately and action is taken to resolve.
- Record and log all non-conformances and emergencies with the appropriate control room operatives.
- Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies, ensuring the site team is kept fully informed.
- Demonstrate an understanding of human behavior, monitoring and surveillance of suspect individuals, logging, and reporting incidents in line with site/company policies.
- Maintain vigilance and highlight/manage unauthorized access by banned individuals.
- Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to.
- Ensure all events/incidents are recorded correctly in the Security Officer notebook and notebook policies are always adhered to.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
- Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events.
- Complete all training requirements as requested by the line manager.
- Be available to cover additional shifts as required to cover absence/annual leave.
- Liaise closely with the Environmental Services team, delivering one service and highlighting opportunities for working as one team.
Requirements
- SIA Licensed DS or SG required.
- First Aid certificate required.
- Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful always whilst carrying out duties to the highest standard.
- Adopt a one-team approach.
- Take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.
- Always stay motivated, aim high, and achieve.
- Respect all staff and visitors within the site.
Skills
- SIA CCTV licensed desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
