About the Role

We are actively recruiting for compassionate Support Workers / Care Assistants to join our dedicated teams supporting service users across the heart of the community. Homecare is all about helping vulnerable adults remain safe, happy, and independent in the place they love most – their own home. You'll do far more than complete tasks – you'll become a trusted part of someone's day and make a real difference to their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Supporting with personal care – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming with the utmost dignity
• Assisting with medication – preparation and safe administration
• Helping with mobility – using aids/equipment safely and supporting rehabilitation after hospital stays
• Preparing meals/snacks and offering mealtime support
• Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, household tasks
• Offering companionship and building meaningful relationships
• Companionship – conversations, activities, outings
• Social Inclusion – encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and community activities
• Promoting Independence – ensuring dignity and choice are at the forefront of your care
• Medication Management – collecting prescriptions, reminders, safe administration
• Nutrition & Mealtimes – cooking nutritious meals, considering dietary needs
• Housekeeping – light cleaning, laundry, tidying
• Mobility Assistance – transfers, walking support, use of aids
• Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in condition
• Emotional Support – empathy, reassurance, and a listening ear
• Documentation – accurate record keeping
• Safety & Emergency Response – creating safe environments, acting quickly when needed
• Collaboration – working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families

Requirements

• Hold onto your hats — ideally, you’ll have at least 6 months of social care experience to join our merry band of care crusaders!
• Have compassion oozing from every pore.
• Can communicate like a UN diplomat.
• Possess problem-solving powers that would impress Mother Teresa.
• Are committed to respectful, high-quality care that would make your gran proud.
• Have the right to work within the UK (❌ Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship).
• Are willing and able to travel between clients within the local community.
