About the Role

At London Care, we are recruiting compassionate Support Workers / Care Assistants to join our dedicated teams supporting service users across North West London. Homecare focuses on helping vulnerable adults remain safe, happy, and independent in their own homes by building genuine relationships and providing companionship.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support prioritizing dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, managing incontinence, toileting, and grooming.
  • Offer medication support, including collecting prescriptions, providing reminders, and administration.
  • Prepare meals and assist with nutrition.
  • Support with mobility and the use of equipment.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as making beds, laundry, tidying, and emptying commodes.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, including engaging conversations and facilitating outings.
  • Encourage social engagement and family connections.
  • Monitor client health and report any changes to healthcare professionals and family.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
  • Respond to emergencies safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with families and the wider care team.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of social care experience is ideal.
  • Must have compassion and a commitment to respectful, high-quality care.
  • Must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the right to work within the UK (visa sponsorship is not offered).
  • Must be willing and able to travel between clients within the local community.

Salary/Compensations

  • Monday–Saturday: £14.80 per hour
  • Sunday: £15.30 per hour
