About the Role

Alma Bank is seeking experienced Universal Bankers to perform a variety of duties to provide existing and potential customers with efficient and accurate services. This role involves opening accounts, explaining and processing investments and other financial services, and correcting records.

Responsibilities

• Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, savings bonds, and securities.
• Types account information obtained from customer on record card or form, and enters into computer.
• Assists customers with questions and investigates and corrects errors, following customer and establishment records.
• Presents funds received from customer to Teller for deposit, and obtains receipts for customer.
• Obtains records from fraud reporting agency.
• Contacts customers regarding overdraft items and other transactions as necessary.
• Develops & maintains communication in a cooperative & professional manner with all levels of staff, members and outside contacts.
• Handles all phases of teller operations, including collections, savings, demand deposits and loan payments.
• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
• Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash.
• Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift.
• Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
