About the Role

The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect will focus on Public Cloud solutioning, delivering winning propositions to customers with a focus on Microsoft Azure. This strategic role involves crafting compelling proposals, supporting sales teams in closing deals, and requires extensive industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and expertise in solution design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Architect for the Public Cloud team, mentoring and managing Architects.
• Oversee proposal development and ensure standards are maintained.
• Drive application architecture solution design, aligning services, usage, and technology.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, present solutions, and build confidence.
• Support commercial negotiations and Best and Final Offers (BAFO).
• Craft compelling proposals and responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Shape solution design, effort estimates, and transition plans for bids and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with public sector procurement standards.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and delivery teams for seamless handover.
• Work with offering management to provide feedback on market trends and client needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new application technologies like AI, automation, and cloud-native platforms.
• Track and report on presales activities and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
• Translate complex business needs into secure, scalable, and supportable application designs.
• Engage with stakeholders and partner organizations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud presales.
• Strong background in public cloud and Microsoft Azure solutions.
• Deep understanding of Application Modernization and cloud technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
