About the Role
As a Solution Manager, you will be responsible for the product and portfolio management of Data Center & Edge Platforms, covering both technical and economic aspects.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between Solution Management, Portfolio Development, and Business Development.
- Define and strategically develop datacenter solutions focusing on Automation & Orchestration, Platform Engineering, Virtualization, Containers, Open Source, and Sovereignty in collaboration with manufacturers.
- Create and implement a Go-to-Market strategy for the assigned area to enhance customer business through targeted solutions and innovations.
- Innovate the portfolio based on technological advancements (e.g., Hybrid IT, Edge & Distributed Computing), customer needs, and market changes.
- Ensure service delivery capability through internal and external units to maintain high project execution quality.
- Identify profitable business opportunities for Computacenter in collaboration with account teams, particularly for the Solution Portfolio.
Requirements
- Completed degree or equivalent qualification with extensive project and consulting experience in the data center environment.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in consulting and presales, specifically in Data Center Orchestration & Automation, virtualization technologies, open source, and container technologies.
- Innovation-oriented and up-to-date with technological developments.
- Skilled in translating technical customer requirements into a scalable product and service portfolio from external and internal suppliers.
- Proficient in rhetoric and presentation techniques for a confident and trustworthy appearance as a solution partner in escalation and conflict management with manufacturers and customers.
- Thought leader in the mentioned technological topics and business contexts.
- Combines technological expertise with strong entrepreneurial thinking.
- Convincing communication skills in German and English.
