About the Role

As a Fullstack Engineer at BBH Solutions AG, you will play a crucial role in building an internal engineering team and actively shaping the technological future of several legal tech products. You will work hands-on across the entire stack, from frontend to backend, while bringing structure and technical perspective to a growing environment. You will be a developer, a technical sparring partner for Product Owners, and a point of contact for external development partners.

Responsibilities

Development and operation of sophisticated web applications across the entire stack (frontend & backend)
Design and further development of APIs, databases, and interfaces
Refactoring of existing applications to improve scalability and maintainability
Participation in multiple products with different maturity levels, including the gradual development of the contract generator towards a microservices architecture
Close collaboration with business Product Owners: technical sparring and constructive questioning of requirements
Technical coordination with external development partners – contribute your professional input
Participation in architectural decisions and technical guidelines – together as a team
Shaping development processes, testing, and code quality

Requirements

Several years of experience in full-stack development of web applications
Confident, practical experience with JavaScript and Vue.js or comparable frameworks in the frontend and Java / Spring Boot in the backend
Experience in the design and operation of REST APIs as well as with relational databases (MySQL)
Independent, solution-oriented way of working and enjoyment of close collaboration in a small team
Willingness to think along with requirements and question them constructively
Fluent German (C2) for collaboration within the team and with German service providers
Experience with scalable software architectures (e.g., microservices) and a feel for technical trade-offs
Experience in technical coordination and management of external service providers
Practice in testing, code reviews, and CI/CD
Experience with Nginx, Liquibase, Keycloak / OAuth2
Interest in or experience with AI tools in engineering (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
Domain experience in the Legal Tech or energy industry environment
