About the Role
Mace consultancy's pharmaceutical and life sciences sector provides end-to-end consultancy services for innovative life science projects, including manufacturing facilities. We are seeking an experienced, German-speaking project controls engineer to join our growing pharma team.
Responsibilities
- Manage PMO and project controls performance on assigned commissions.
- Create and design effective implementation of PMO and project controls framework/strategy.
- Manage and direct clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on all PMO and project controls matters.
- Partner with clients to meet expectations and build strong professional relationships.
- Provide expert advice in the administration of the PMO and project controls process, focusing on cost, schedule, change, risk, and reporting.
- Facilitate and drive periodic reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.
- Develop and manage baseline (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and monitor delivery performance, change, and contingency.
- Contribute to the development of quantitative analysis (cost and time).
- Recognize actions, opportunities, and mitigate risks and issues in collaboration with the PMO director and/or project manager.
- Coordinate activities and operations to ensure alignment with Mace control center, client requirements, and legislation.
- Line manage a team of PMO and project controls team members.
- Provide technical expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of team members.
- Manage the integration of project controls with PMO and planning disciplines.
- Support the HUB PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for assigned commissions.
- Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions.
Requirements
- Proven PMO and project controls leadership on complex programs.
- Strong stakeholder influence, communication, and commercial awareness.
- Advanced tools expertise (P6, Power BI, risk systems).
- Relevant qualifications, professional membership, and chartered progression.
