About the Role
Lead and execute complex industrial projects within the water treatment and construction environment, ensuring successful delivery from definition through commissioning and start-up, with a focus on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Analyze project status and revise scope, schedule, or budget as necessary to meet project requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors, consultants, and erection and safety coordinators.
- Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to appropriate management channels and escalate issues as necessary.
- Track and monitor project execution performance, assuring adherence to KPIs for time, quality, and cost.
- Assure correct handover of information to the MO Team.
- Be aware of Safety & Environmental aspects of legislation in Europe as well as CE certification requirements.
- Be aware of main ISO Quality Assurance Requirements.
Requirements
- Mechanical / Civil / Chemical Engineering Master Degree.
- More than 10 years of experience in managing project Erection, Construction, Commissioning, and start-up.
- Proven experience in managing projects involving civil works.
- Proven experience managing, reviewing, and validating main Engineering documents necessary to develop water treatment plants such as P&ID, PFD, mass balance, Piping Drawings, Isometrics, wiring diagram, Logic Diagram, Control Narrative.
- Proven experience managing and coordinating work groups and resources.
- Fluent English & French written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with specific tools for project management (Ms Projects or equivalent).
- Synthesis and pragmatic approach.
- Agile mindset able to approach multidisciplinary topics.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
- Proven success working with all levels of management.
