About the Role
Mollie Stone's Markets is seeking a versatile Cashier/All Purpose Clerk (APC) for its Grand Central location. This role requires a customer service-driven individual flexible in performing various daily tasks, including cashiering and assisting in other departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Process sales at the register, scanning items accurately and efficiently.
- Identify product items properly.
- Handle money transactions.
- Bag groceries for customers and provide carry-out service.
- Retrieve baskets and carts for the store.
- Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with inquiries.
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations.
- Restock inventory, conduct price checks, and return products to shelves.
- Work in any other department based on store needs.
Requirements
- A passion for unique, fresh food and a team-centered attitude.
- Ability to identify produce quality or freshness by sight or smell.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand upright up to eight hours per day.
- Available to work a flexible shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
