About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the centre of a business, learning how senior leaders operate, and taking on challenges that extend beyond traditional executive support. Working closely with the Chief Member Officer and Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in enabling governance and business performance, coordinating strategic and business initiatives, and continuously improving how the team operates. This is a unique development opportunity for someone who is naturally curious, highly organised, and eager to broaden their experience across executive operations, governance, project delivery, business management, and organisational initiatives. You do not need to have prior experience in every aspect of the role. What matters most is your willingness to learn, build relationships, take ownership, and grow into new areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Enable the Chief Member Officer to operate at peak effectiveness through proactive management of priorities, communications, meetings and leadership rhythms.
  • Coordinate leadership team activities, ensuring actions, commitments and strategic priorities progress effectively.
  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations, communications and decision papers.
  • Manage a complex calendar, proactively resolving conflicts and protecting focus time.
  • Support governance activities, including Board and Committee paper coordination and action tracking.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of key business initiatives and programs for the team against agreed deadlines.
  • Support business planning, performance reporting and leadership priorities.
  • Build strong relationships across teams to ensure alignment and delivery of outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and remove inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate operational activities including financial, administrative and vendor-related processes where required.
  • Contribute to leadership events, engagement activities and business-wide initiatives.
  • Help foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team environment.

Requirements

  • A proactive mindset and genuine desire to learn, improve and make an impact.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders, coordinating and leading projects, or managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The confidence to build relationships, ask questions and work collaboratively across all levels of the business.
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and accountability.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for making things better.
  • Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Applicants will be required to undertake police and basic credit checks as a condition of employment.
