About the Role
The Product Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit targets for specific product groups, acting as a sales enablement leader to drive returns for both the company and vendors through marketing, training, and strategic relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Create business plans for vendor product groups and associated services.
- Develop and implement sales enablement programs for internal teams and partners.
- Ensure technical sales support teams receive appropriate training.
- Develop and implement marketing programs to support product objectives.
- Create joint initiatives with vendors and business partners.
- Manage inventory effectively, including fulfillment and obsolescence minimization.
- Execute business plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Coordinate internal functions to deliver product plan outcomes.
- Maintain proactive executive business relations with vendor partners.
- Monitor and manage operational vendor relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of sales processes, proposals, and pipeline management.
- Ensure high levels of vendor and partner satisfaction.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data by product group.
- Measure and report performance data to leverage rebates and investment initiatives.
- Conduct business forecasting and planning with vendors.
- Provide commercial reports for decision-making.
- Act as an advocate and leader for product groups and the company.
- Provide direction and support to the sales team.
- Manage team performance and behavior.
- Contribute to the leadership team and overall business longevity.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in IT distribution.
- Appropriate vendor product sales certifications.
- Strong leadership attributes.
