About the Role
The store team member supports the management team in completing daily store tasks, including cash handling, customer service, and housekeeping, while ensuring an exceptional guest experience that aligns with the company's mission to leave guests better off.
Responsibilities
- Support store management in completing store-level tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Embrace teamwork and communicate effectively
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Greet customers upon entry
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Assist customers with questions and price discrepancies
- Balance cash registers and sales at the start and end of shifts
- Process returns and exchanges per store policy
- Identify product prices and tabulate bills using store equipment
- Assist customers in locating products and resolving complaints
- Bag, box, and wrap purchased items
- Participate in team efforts to achieve company goals
- Execute store-level marketing programs
- Perform cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
- Replenish products and supplies to maintain stock levels
- Check in vendors according to corporate procedures
- Report unsafe activities to supervisors or Human Resources
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Reliability, punctuality, honesty, and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods
