About the Role

A global medical technology company seeks an HR Business Partner to support its Japan organization. This role partners closely with business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness and business growth through the planning and execution of HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle. The position combines strategic HRBP responsibilities with hands-on involvement in core HR areas such as recruitment, talent development, and employee engagement, working in close collaboration with both local and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to identify and address organizational and people-related challenges
  • Plan and implement HR initiatives across recruitment, talent management, training, and engagement
  • Support hiring activities in collaboration with managers and stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and labor-related matters in line with Japanese regulations
  • Drive and improve HR policies, processes, and systems
  • Lead or contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives, including cross-functional and global programs

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience (e.g., HRBP, recruitment, employee relations)
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws and HR practices
  • Business-level Japanese and English
  • Experience working in cross-functional or international environments
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Team leadership or people management experience
  • Project management experience in HR or organizational initiatives
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable handling a wide range of HR topics in a dynamic environment
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
