About the Role

Weiss Orthodontics | docbraces is seeking a talented Registered Dental Hygienist to join their North York, ON team. This role supports Canadian Orthodontic Partners in delivering personalized orthodontic treatment with a focus on patient care and service experience. Responsibilities

  • Provide enthusiastic patient care and support, building personal connections.
  • Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and goals.
  • Help, educate, and improve patients' lives.
  • Collect patient dental and medical history.
  • Prepare patients for the Orthodontist.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for X-rays.
  • Take X-rays following safety procedures.
  • Examine gums for infections or gum disease.
  • Clean patient teeth, including plague removal, polishing, flossing, and brushing.
  • Perform bonding and removal of brackets and orthodontic appliances.
  • Place and remove arch wires.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment progress.
  • Update patient records and examination notes.
  • Perform lab duties as instructed.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Call patients for aftercare and answer questions.
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with team members.
  • Possess great energy for a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not required.
  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program.
  • Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within province, in good standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in an orthodontic office is preferred but not required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training.
