About the Role

Weiss Orthodontics | docbraces is seeking a talented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our North York team. We are dedicated to delivering personalized orthodontic treatment with an enhanced level of patient care and service, aiming to become the icon of orthodontic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic patient care and support while building personal connections.
• Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and oral health goals.
• Educate patients to improve their lives and oral health.
• Collect and document dental and medical history.
• Prepare patients for the Orthodontist.
• Prepare patients and equipment for X-rays while following safety procedures.
• Examine gums for infections or disease.
• Clean, polish, floss, and brush teeth to remove plaque.
• Perform bonding and removal of brackets and orthodontic appliances.
• Place and remove arch wires.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene habits and treatment progress.
• Update patient records and examination notes.
• Perform lab duties as instructed by the Orthodontist or leadership.
• Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Conduct aftercare follow-up calls and answer patient questions.
• Travel to satellite locations as necessary.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with the team.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
• Registered or licensed by the provincial dental hygiene regulatory authority in good standing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Current CPR and First Aid training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
