About the Role

This role focuses on the Develop phase of the software development lifecycle, emphasizing the improvement of developer experience across various stages. The Principal Product Manager will lead product strategy and execution for OCI Developer Tool Products, focusing on how customers and internal teams use cloud-native and AI-native tools for software development and operation. A key aspect involves guiding teams in adopting AI-native software development practices to enhance productivity, code quality, and system understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product strategy and execution for OCI Developer Tool Products.
  • Focus on how OCI customers and internal engineering teams use modern cloud-native and AI-native tools to develop, release, and operate software more effectively.
  • Help development teams transition to AI-native software development practices.
  • Identify opportunities for AI to reduce friction, improve productivity, raise code quality, accelerate onboarding, and enhance developer understanding of complex systems.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, platform teams, security, compliance, and customers to define product direction.
  • Prioritize high-impact investments.
  • Deliver tools that make development more intuitive, efficient, and intelligent.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in product management, technical product strategy, or related roles.
  • Experience building or managing developer experience products, developer tools, cloud platforms, IDE integrations, source control workflows, code review systems, test automation, internal developer platforms, or engineering productivity products.
  • Strong understanding of developer workflows in the Develop phase of the SDLC, including planning, coding, local development, branching strategies, pull requests, code review, testing, debugging, documentation, and onboarding.
  • Experience working with engineering teams on technically complex products and translating developer needs into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Ability to define product strategy across multiple related product areas and align stakeholders around measurable developer experience outcomes.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development, generative AI, agentic workflows, developer copilots, automation, or AI/ML product capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use product usage data, developer feedback, productivity metrics, and business goals to guide prioritization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
