About the Role
Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking an Industry Technical Consultant for the Data Center Division to support Direct to Chip Liquid Cooling and other cooling water applications. This role focuses on driving business growth, fostering innovation, and transferring technical knowledge to ensure client success.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and solve complex client problems
- Train technical audiences on systems and processes
- Recommend operational efficiency improvements for utility systems
- Validate new innovative technologies
- Assist Corporate Account Managers and Sales Reps with technical sales calls and presentations
- Research and define market and product application opportunities
- Develop and implement marketing plans to capture sales opportunities
- Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams on strategic technical sales
- Consult on thermal management solutions for cold plates and cooling distribution units
- Lead problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis methodologies
- Assess water treatment programs and document operational efficiency projects
- Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on innovation projects from ideation to launch
- Lead innovation pilot applications and technical market trials
- Facilitate training and coach associates on processes, applications, and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in technical implementation, production management, process engineering, or technical/field sales support
- Strong technical knowledge of liquid cooling systems and solutions
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to travel 50% or more overnight
- Demonstrable expertise in optimizing cooling operations in the Global High-Tech segment
- Experience with complex chemistry, automation, digital, equipment, and engineered solutions
