About the Role
The Data & Analytics team at Target creates tools and data products to enable business partners to make data-based decisions. This role supports reporting and performance measurement using market-leading tools and analytical methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze trends and optimize digital strategies.
Responsibilities
- Leverage data, statistics, and visualization to generate actionable insights that drive value across multiple business functions.
- Utilize market-leading tools, data automation, and analytical methodologies to support reporting and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, optimize digital strategies, and provide clear recommendations for business growth.
- Simplify complex data to enable efficient decision-making.
- Build detailed reports and dashboards using various tools.
- Design and implement data visualizations to communicate complex data clearly.
- Prepare data models and analysis to identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for values and new opportunities.
- Leverage advanced analytics and AI-driven approaches to enhance decision-making.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to understand data needs, value opportunities and delivers solutions in partnership with digital technology and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all reports and analysis.
- Cultivate and maintain positive partners relationships to understand their data needs, provides insights and finds improvement opportunities, and ensures reporting solutions address key objectives.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field; or strong equivalent experience.
- Intermediate SQL experience writing complex queries.
- Solid problem solving, analytical skills, data curiosity, data mining, Data creation and consolidation.
- Support conclusions with a clear, understandable story that leverages descriptive statistics, basic inferential statistics, and data visualizations.
- Willingness to ask questions about business objectives and the measurement needs for a project workstream, and be able to measure objectives & key results.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and translate ideas between them.
